( It also can be used in a good way)
-> I've had a stroke of (good) luck! I've won a trip to Paris!
to end up : to finally be in a situation or place
-> We ended up getting a taxi to the airport.
-> We tried to take short cut and ended up getting lost.
-> He missed his flight, so he ended up going home.
-> What will Jessica and Anne end up doing ?
first conditional : likely to happen
-> If we miss this flight, we're going to miss our connection to Tokyo.
-> If we don't hurry up, we're going to miss our train.

If it rains, the traffic is going to be terrible!
